01

Responsible organization, scope and effective date

Dannevirke Bowling Club (Incorporated) is identified as the responsible organization for Greenstage Bowls. This policy applies to version 1.0.0 of the Android application and the matching public app-support pages. It is effective from 13 August 2026. It does not describe unrelated club systems, websites, membership records, event platforms or services operated by other parties.

02

App identity, version and purpose

Greenstage Bowls, package nz.org.dannevirkebowlingclub.greenstage, is an illustrated adult-facing field companion for general lawn-bowls preparation, observation, shared-space courtesy and private reflection. It is not a membership portal, fixture service, official scorekeeper, umpire, measuring authority, coaching certification tool or emergency service.

03

Intended adult audience and supervision boundary

The app is designed for adults, including newcomers, returning participants, social players, adult volunteers and adult session leaders. It does not create child profiles or enable adult-child messaging. If a younger person encounters the app, an authorized adult remains responsible for participation, supervision, venue decisions and appropriate use.

04

Offline operation and network behavior

Version 1.0.0 operates from content packaged inside the app and does not request Android Internet permission. It does not connect to a Greenstage Bowls server, download live content, check opening hours, retrieve weather, publish fixtures or silently transmit app activity. Public support pages are separate web resources opened outside the app.

05

Information processed on the device

The app may process navigation state, the current five-act position, temporary Run Sheet selections, optional scene bookmarks, onboarding completion and reading or accessibility preferences on the user's device. Processing is used only to display the requested screen, restore a useful local state and provide user-controlled reading options.

06

Run Sheet, bookmarks and accessibility preferences

The Run Sheet uses anonymous preset scene selections and is session-only by default. Optional bookmarks and preferences such as larger text, high contrast or reduced motion may be stored in app-private local preferences. They are not linked to a name, email, membership number, team, score, device advertising identifier or cloud account.

07

Information the app does not collect

Greenstage Bowls does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, account credentials, contacts, precise or approximate location, photographs, audio, video, free-text notes, club membership records, official scores, team selections, health information, payment information, government identifiers, advertising identifiers or child profiles.

08

Android permissions

The app requests no Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, notification, activity-recognition, health, Bluetooth, nearby-device or broad-storage permission. A future version that materially changes permissions or network behavior must update the app, Data Safety answers and this policy before release.

09

Accounts, servers and third-party SDKs

The app has no registration, login, cloud account, publisher database, analytics service, advertising SDK, attribution SDK, telemetry service, social SDK, remote configuration service or third-party crash-reporting SDK. Android system components may perform ordinary operating-system functions outside the publisher's control.

10

Sharing, sale, advertising and tracking

Because the app does not collect or transmit personal data, it does not sell, rent or share personal data with advertisers, data brokers or analytics providers. It contains no ads, behavioral profiling, cross-app tracking, targeted marketing, public profile, follower system, leaderboard or social feed.

11

Retention, reset, deletion and disabled backup

Temporary Run Sheet choices last only for the local session unless the user deliberately keeps the current screen open. Optional bookmarks and accessibility preferences remain locally until cleared. The in-app Clear local choices control, Android Clear storage or uninstall removes app-held state. Android backup and device transfer are disabled for app data.

12

Security measures and limits

Local state is kept in Android app-private storage and is not sent to a publisher server. No software or device storage is risk-free. Users should maintain device access controls, install trusted system updates and avoid sharing an unlocked device when local choices should remain private. The app cannot secure information a user voluntarily enters into another application.

13

External email and support behavior

A support action may ask Android to open the user's chosen email application with the public support address. Greenstage Bowls does not read, send, intercept or retain the draft. The user reviews and sends it in the external email application, whose provider and privacy terms then apply. Do not include sensitive health, child, financial or emergency information.

14

Sport, health, weather and safety limitations

Content is general sports education and shared-space preparation. The app cannot inspect a green, determine weather, assess equipment, diagnose technique, decide fitness to participate, prevent injury, measure a head, determine a score or make a law ruling. Current venue instructions, event Conditions of Play, club staff, coaches, appointed officials, qualified professionals and emergency services take priority.

15

Children, safeguarding and guardian responsibility

The app is not designed to collect children's data and provides no child account, private messaging, attendance tool, photo upload, precise location, public profile or targeted advertising. An authorized adult is responsible for any younger person's use and real-world participation. Safeguarding concerns should be handled through appropriate current organizational or emergency channels, not recorded in the app.

16

Privacy rights, choices and international use

Users control whether to use the app, bookmark a scene, keep a temporary Run Sheet or open an external support action. Local state can be cleared without contacting the publisher. Because the app does not operate a personal-data server, access, correction or deletion requests usually concern information held outside this app. Applicable legal rights remain available through the responsible holder of that information.

17

Policy changes, effective date and version alignment

Material changes to collection, transmission, permissions, third-party SDKs or user features require a revised policy, a new effective date and aligned Play Console declarations. The in-app policy and public policy should be reviewed together for each release. Continued use after an update means the user is using the revised version then displayed.

18

Contact and policy review details
